Dr. Warren C.W. Latham Bsc(H), MSc(c), MD, FRCSC
- Dr. Warren C.W. Latham is a certified orthopaedic surgeon with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). He began his education at Queen’s University, where he completed his Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) degree in Life Sciences. He then returned to his home province of British Columbia to complete his Medical Doctorate (MD) at the University of British Columbia.
- Dr. Latham completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Toronto, where he completed both a hip and knee, and a foot and ankle fellowship. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in 2006.
- Currently, Dr. Latham is enrolled in the Masters of Science (MSc) program studying Surgical Science and Practice at Oxford University, which is designed to prepare senior surgeons to become experts in quality improvement.
- Dr. Latham has been a staff surgeon at the Scarborough Health Network (SHN) since 2007, where he is currently the Corporate Chief of Orthopaedics and lead surgeon of the Foot and Ankle program. He is a passionate educator. Through his role as a Clinical Adjunct Professor Foot and Ankle Fellowship Supervisor at the University of Toronto, Dr. Latham has trained numerous residents and fellows. He lectures at a national level and has lectured as a visiting scholar at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario. His primary research interest lies in advancing surgical techniques in minimally invasive foot surgery.
- He sits on the executive of the Canadian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (COFAS), as well as the Canadian Orhopaedic Association (COA). Dr. Latham is a consultant for several orthopaedic companies including Wright Medical, ConMed, and Zimmer/Biomet. He has also authored expert medical legal opinions on foot and ankle surgeries for both plaintiffs and defendants.
